Kath Duncan Receives Professional Networking Community's Highest Honor
Kath Duncan Named Celebrity Style & Fashion Entrepreneur of the Year

LOS ANGELES, CA, September 21, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ --Kath Duncan, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of whataretheywearing, Inc., has been named Cambridge Who's Who Entrepreneur of the Year in Celebrity Style & Fashion. While inclusion in the Cambridge Who's Who Registry is an honor, only two male and two female members in each discipline are named entrepreneurs of the year. The Cambridge Who's Who selection committee chooses these special honorees based on their professional accomplishments, academic achievements and leadership abilities.

Proud to be a female entrepreneur in the technology community, Kath Duncan is the founder of whataretheywearing.com, a celebrity fashion website that acts as a woman's one-stop style guide. Originally from Toronto, she moved to L.A. in 2009, spurred by a desire to combine her passions for fashion, entertainment and people empowerment with her educational, business and life experiences. A firm believer that fashion goes beyond mere clothing, Kath utilizes her website to build women's confidence by helping them look their best with classic and on-trend updates that are applicable to everyday life. She loves the celebrity influence in fashion but also relishes the challenge of making it relevant to people who do not have expansive bank accounts or the luxuries of personal trainers, chefs and the like. Determined to give back in the way she knows best, Kath is also actively involved with Dress for Success, an organization through which she helps disadvantaged women reenter the workforce by providing clothing for job interviews and other office-appropriate attire. Though she loved fashion "from the womb," Kath took a unique path to arrive at her dream career; she received a business degree, with a minor in finance and accounting, from Queen's University in Canada and went on to become a Chartered Accountant (CA) with PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC), where she consistently ranked as a top performer among her peers. She was far from a typical accountant, however, and exhibited her own unique flair as a member of PwC's Social Committee, planning key company events for up to 2,000 people. Kath also participated in workshops for Junior Achievement Canada. Kath went on to work as a Recruiting Manager with Robert Half International in Toronto where she quickly became one of the top-ranked performers in North America, receiving the 2008 Reach for the Stars President's Club Sales Award. She initiated and organized the company's Toronto corporate "Run for The Cure" team for a breast cancer fundraising race in 2007 and 2008 (having run the race herself 12 consecutive years), and volunteered her time with Meals on Wheels, delivering subsidized meals to the less fortunate.

Kath brings an international perspective to her work for whataretheywearing.com. Aside from her native Canada, she has lived in London and San Francisco, and considers herself fortunate to have traveled to 25 countries across six continents. She looks forward to visiting her seventh and last continent with a trip to Antarctica at the end of the year.
