Melbra A. Welch celebrates 35 years in the fashion industry

As CEO of Petticoat Jane, Ms. Welch is responsible for managing the information technology sector, overseeing finances, inventory, purchasing and production. With 35 years of experience in her field, she started her career working with small shops and local designers until she began creating her own fashions. She worked in England and Germany, and she attributes her success to her family, who stress the importance of determination and perseverance.

Ms. Welch received her Associate of Science in Biology from Central Carolina Technical College in 2007. She is an avid supporter of the Congaree Land Trust and the Sumter County Museum.
