The most popular crochet and knitting patterns for March 2007
Lion Brand Yarn today released their monthly list of the most popular knitting and crochet patterns that were downloaded from their Web site in March of 2007.

These top ten lists are based on hundreds of thousands of
downloads of patterns by people using the online "pattern finder" at the Lion Brand Web site in the month of March 2007.

Here are the top 10 most popular patterns followed by the name of the Lion Brand yarn used to make each pattern.

1. Lace Beanie (Cotton-Ease) 2. All-Season Shell (Microspun) 3. The Road Scarf (Wool-Ease) 4. Martha Stewart 'Coming Home' Poncho (Homespun) 5. Purse (Wool-Ease) 6. Striped Self-Lined Bag (Lion Cashmere Blend) 7. 1-Ball Bag (Sasha) 8. Gossamer Shawl (Jazz - Muse) 9. V-Stitch Shell (Lion Organic Cotton) 10. Nana's Bathmat (Lion Cotton)

Note: The "Coming Home" poncho, is still in the #4 position and has not moved since last month. Note that there are 3 purses and bags listed on this months list. Unlike last month where we had 3 dog sweaters in the top 10 list, there are no patterns for animals mentioned this month. As we move into warmer spring weather, this month's top patterns include two Shells for the first time this year.
